{22 years in the making & totally smitten}

22 years!  As anything other than a young age - it sounds like a L…O…N…G….T…I…M…E!

Friday, September 2nd was 22 years in the making.  We celebrated our 22nd anniversary!  I can tell you that it went by REALLY FAST!  I love Sir Thomas.  I'm so glad he's mine.

My day started off at 5:15 a.m. so I could get ready to go spend some  time with a wonderful bunch of sophomores for early morning seminary.

Little did I know that Sir Thomas had planned a wonderful surprise for me.  India is the sweetest girl in the world. She got up at 6:00 a.m. so she could help with the surprise!
Surprise!  Are you as shocked as I was??

Do you remember when I was {smitten with a lovely shade of blue} ?

I still can't believe he bought them.

Sir Thomas and India HANDWASHED all these dishes and set the table while the boys and I were at seminary.
This was a lovely thing to come home to . . .
Such a delightful breakfast! The dishes are Oh, So Lovely and my family is Divine!
{I haven't been as in love with the new paint in the dining room lately so I'm taking suggestions for another make-over.}
The rest of the day was equally marvelous.  I received a huge surprise in the mail that just made my day. In the evening he took me to dinner and then we had a nice little get-away {here}.  Thanks a million Kimberly!

I came home refreshed and ready to get to work.  Wow!  I had a lot to do today.  It's super late and I just got a chance to stop.  It was fun work though.  I cleaned out and washed the kitchen cabinets.  One particular cabinet turned out spectacular.  Sir Thomas was sweet to run all the errands in the wonderful rain.

I know you're drooling over the apron!  That was part of the surprise that came in the mail!  I also received the sweetest card and best cookbook imaginable from a dear friend.  She's one of my dear friends that I've never even met!

It is interesting that we can make wonderful friends that we've never met and still feel like we've known them forever.
Rae Ann is one of those special people that just loves everyone.  Her son is a missionary in our mission and her love is big enough to reach all the way down here in Texas.

I haven't been able to take this precious apron off! Now that the kitchen is clean, I'm ready for that cookbook!

Sir Thomas and I haven't ever taken pictures in one of those photo-booths that print little pictures of us making crazy faces.  Perhaps I should add that to my list of things to do in the next 22 years.

We probably don't need to! Sir Thomas is so talented and was able to hold the camera up for a few fun self-portraits. The next 22 years with this man is going to be fun and I wish they would go by a little slower than the first 22 years.

It's been 22 years in the making & I'm totally smitten!
